We just finished the building the Market Guide for Fort Lauderdale/Miami, and are working on Denver.
I wanted to pause and show you how wildly prices for the same model vehicle can vary from city to city, and from peak season to slow season.
The model that caught my eye was the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for the summer months.
Denver: Average daily rate across 132 units is $164.
Fort Lauderdale/Miami: Average daily rate across 225 units is $74.
Summer in Denver is peak season.
Summer in Fort Lauderdale is slow season.
Why am I sharing this?
Almost every day someone in one of the Facebook groups will ask the right question. Which vehicle/s should I choose to put on the platform?
The problem is, you're asking it in a setting where you're going to get hosts from all across the country, in their peak or slow seasons, which may be different from yours, telling you which vehicle to buy based on their experience, in their market, which may be a very wrong answer for you, in your market.
The best way to determine which vehicle/s to buy for your operation is to learn everything you can about the demand and pricing patterns in your own city.
