Thank You, From CarShare Nation!
We’re wrapping up a great first quarter.
Can you believe that we’re already a quarter of the way through 2023? We’re off to a great start at CarShare Nation and I wanted to take a moment just to share with you all that’s happened and offer my sincere gratitude to those of you who have joined us, and/or supported our work to serve the host community so far this year.
CarShare Nation is the parent organization of The CarShare Academy, The ClaimShare Cooperative, The Passive Income Ecosystem, and CarShare Support Services.
Here’s a recap of the year so far:
The CarShare Academy
We had 28 new members join us at The CarShare Academy as either Mazda, Mercedes, or McLaren members.
We completed market research on 23 cities around the country, providing new and aspiring hosts with the data they need to choose the best vehicles and implement the best business practices to be successful in their cities.
We hosted two new free live webinars.
We created three new free downloadable PDF resources about building business credit, forming successful partnerships, and the best and worst vehicles in terms of reliability and value retention.
We had three host meetups in Phoenix, Fort Lauderdale, and Atlanta.
About half of the cabins are booked for our CarShare Nation Meetup at Sea host cruise in October.
We did a complete website design and streamlined the membership enrollment process.
CarShare Academy Lead Coach William Huffhine was invited as a panelist at the International Car Rental Show.
The ClaimShare Cooperative
We finished the quarter with 30 vehicles enrolled in the program to be reimbursed any deductibles the hosts encounter with damage claims settled by Turo.
We received, and paid out within an hour, two deductible reimbursement requests.
The Passive Income Ecosystem
We’re finishing the quarter with approximately 80 vehicles on the ground and another 30 or so in the pipeline, being managed by our fleet management partner, most of them placed by hosts already in those cities who needed hands-on help to be more successful.
We added a second fleet management partner and five new cities.
All of this began on a whim with a lunch in Detroit.
It was the summer of 2021, during the “gold rush” of hosts entering the Turo space, when a guy from Detroit asked if he could buy me lunch and get some pointers about starting a Turo business. Within a couple of days he bought his first two vehicles and very quickly launched and scaled a very successful Turo fleet. Others began turning to me for help, and a few months later my new friend in Detroit sent me a message thanking me for helping him change his life and the life of his family. That’s when I knew that I wanted to spend my time doing all I could to help new and aspiring hosts all across the country and form the lowest cost coaching practice out there.
I had no idea that a lunch in Detroit would lead to 1,745 people (as of this writing) being helped in some way, over 200 memberships, and all of the additional services we’ve launched to serve the host community.
